I Wrote to Him Because His Profile Said: "Looking for a Relationship with God and a Woman"
Kinga hesitated for a long time before creating a profile on a dating site for believers. But eventually, she felt it was the right moment to trust God and… maybe also someone who shared her values. While browsing profiles, she stopped at one particular description: “Looking for a relationship with God and a woman who loves life and has a sense of humor.” She smiled to herself – such a line couldn’t go unanswered.
So she wrote him the first message, gently referring to his words:
“Hi, I also believe that a relationship with God is fundamental, and a sense of humor is a gift from Him. Maybe we can see together if it works?”
The reply came faster than she expected. Piotr had something calm yet full of energy. The conversation quickly moved from serious topics of faith to more everyday ones—favorite coffee, books, and movies. Kinga felt this was not an ordinary acquaintance. She had finally found someone who understood that life is not only about prayers but also joy and little jokes.
After a few weeks of exchanging messages, they arranged to meet at a small café near the church they both often visited. Kinga, although excited, felt calm. “Maybe it’s a sign,” she thought, “that it’s worth opening my heart.”
The first look at Piotr was like a warm ray of sunshine after a long winter. They talked about everything and nothing—favorite Psalms, how sometimes it’s hard to find time to pray in the daily hustle, and how important it is to laugh together because

Kinga remembered how she had been afraid for years to trust someone so deeply. Her previous relationships ended when it turned out the other person did not share her spiritual values. Now, however, she felt it was different—this was true closeness.
Over time, their relationship found a rhythm—morning prayer, a quick daytime message with a Bible verse, shared Sunday Masses, and long walks in the park where they laughed at their own stumbles and shared dreams.
-You know, it’s kind of funny.
Kinga said one evening while sitting on a bench watching the stars.
-I wrote to you because of that phrase in your profile. And now I feel God really had a plan.
Piotr smiled and took her hand.
-It’s true. Sometimes a single line of text can change everything. And this is just the beginning of our story.
Their relationship was full of small miracles—from cooking fasting meals together, spontaneous trips to shrines, to tender moments holding hands during prayer.
Kinga learned that true love doesn’t have to be perfect but should be based on shared values and mutual support. Piotr reminded her that you don’t have to be perfect to be loved because God loves us as we are.
Today, when she looks at their photo against the backdrop of autumn leaves, she smiles gratefully. It was no coincidence that she wrote to him then. It was divine providence—a gentle whisper of the heart and a sign that it was time for a new chapter.
And although many days and challenges still lie ahead, they know that with God by their side, every obstacle can be overcome, and every smile has the power to brighten even the gloomiest days.
